Code of Ethics for Digital News Media
(As per Appendix to Part III of the Information Technology Rules, 2021)

Yiippee News Network OPC Private Limited, operating the digital platform YIIPPEE® News Network (https://yiippee.com), hereby adopts and upholds the following Code of Ethics in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the standards prescribed by the Press Council of India:


1. Adherence to the Constitution of India

All content published shall respect the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the State, public order, decency, and morality, and shall not defame or incite an offence against any community.

2. Accuracy and Fairness

We commit to publishing news that is factual, verified, and not misleading. We strive for accuracy and shall make corrections promptly when errors are identified.

3. Impartiality and Objectivity

We avoid biased reporting and ensure that all sides of a controversial issue are represented fairly. Opinions shall be clearly distinguished from factual news.

4. Right of Reply and Corrections

We recognize the right of affected persons or parties to respond. When content causes harm or misrepresentation, we shall issue clarifications or corrections in a transparent and timely manner.

5. Avoidance of Sensationalism

We shall not publish content that is sensational, provocative, vulgar, or obscene. News will not be designed to incite hatred or disturb public harmony.

6. Respect for Privacy

We shall avoid intrusions into personal lives unless the public interest justifies it. Identity of sexual violence victims or minors involved in legal cases shall not be revealed.

7. Prohibited Content

We will not publish content that:

  • Promotes terrorism or violence
  • Encourages discrimination or hate speech
  • Spreads misinformation, fake news, or deliberate falsehoods
  • Violates court orders or judicial embargoes

8. Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Groups

We are sensitive to the rights of children, women, and marginalized communities, ensuring that their dignity is preserved in all reporting.

9. Use of Sources

We ensure the credibility of sources and avoid quoting anonymous sources unless it serves a compelling public interest.

10. Grievance Redressal

A formal grievance mechanism is in place as per Rule 10 of the IT Rules, 2021. Any aggrieved person may approach our Grievance Redressal Officer:
