Despite the notice issued by the Encroachment Department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the concerned did not take cognizance of the notice. As per the instructions of Hon’ble Commissioner Dr. Kailash Shinde through the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Department, eviction action was taken in Airoli Division by the Encroachment Department under the guidance of Additional Commissioner (2) Dr. Rahul Gethe and Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Mr. Bhagwat Doifode.
Vivek Kotkar and others, behind Vinita Apartment, Airoli Village, Sector-20, Airoli, under the jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, had started the construction of an RCC building without any permission from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The said unauthorized construction was served by the Airoli Department under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966. The unauthorized construction done by the concerned was required to be removed on their own. But they continued the unauthorized construction. The said unauthorized construction has been partially evicted under the NMP.
3 breakers, 2 hammers, 1 gas cutter, 10 laborers and 01 Mukadam were used for this raid, and officers/employees of the G-Department, Airoli, were present for the raid. Under this action, a penalty fee of Rs. 50,000/- has been collected from the owner of the said construction.
Action will be intensified in this manner in future as well.
